Lithium is a solid and supposedly the third element formed after the big bang which started our human journey. It is a highly reactive element and even sometimes is explosive at room temperature. It is never found in nature in its pure form but exists as lithium oxides and lithium carbonates.

It is a little ironic that lithium was added in the recipe of the popular drink, 7-Up, in the 1930?셲, as lithium citrate. Its atomic weight is 7, and is an upper, and hence the soft drink was called 7-Up. |
